Okay let’s get down to business…

Disney have announced that their live action remake of Mulan will not include any music unlike the original which featured some of the Disney classics ‘I’ll Make a Man Out of You’ and ‘A Girl Worth Fighting For’.

The decision to ditch the tunes has been made by director Niki Caro, speaking exclusively to moviefone Caro commented revealing “it’s a big, girly martial arts epic. It will be extremely muscular and thrilling and entertaining and moving. [But] no songs right now, much to the horror of my children.”

It is a bold move for Disney to create a remake of a film without at least one of the original songs, with recent live action remakes like Beauty and The Beast and even Jungle Book having the classics.

Fans are understandably shaken up by the news

There is also a rumour that Li Shang wont be in the new movie because he was revealed as bi-sexual, whether or not this is true we are waiting to hear!

How do you feel about it being a non-musical remake? Let us know in the comments below!
